International law firm Hill Dickinson has once again brought in a Campbell Johnston Clark (CJC) partner to boost its shipping team.

The company said Siiri Duddington spent six years at CJC advising on a wide range of dry shipping, trade and insurance litigation, acting principally for owners, charterers, P&I clubs, traders and insurers.

She has extensive experience in commercial contract disputes involving charterparty, bill of lading, MOA, COA, pooling agreements, marine insurance and sale contracts, as well as shipbuilding and rig disputes.

"She is regularly involved in running large-scale litigation and arbitration, often with multi-jurisdictional issues," the company added.

It is not the first time Hill Dickinson has brought in a former CJC staffer.

Last year CJC co-founder Julian Clark joined as global head of shipping with the remit to make it the world's number one shipping law firm.

Duddington will be based in London, working with Clark.

He said: "I am absolutely delighted to be working once more with such a dedicated and internationally recognised lawyer. Siiri joins the new and expanding shipping team and will further bolster our ability to provide the very best and cost effective legal solutions for our clients.”

Duddington added: “I look forward to joining Hill Dickinson at a time when the firm and its shipping team in particular is re-positioning itself strategically, and investing considerably in its services in order to offer clients personalised and exceptional expertise, both locally and globally.”

Hill Dickinson also recruited former CJC lawyer Tom Burdass as its new legal director last year.
