Total has awarded contracts for the further development of three producing fields in the Mahakam permit off Indonesia that will provide feedstock gas for the Bontang LNG plant.

Indonesian company Gunanusa and the local subsidiary of Singapore’s Swiber Offshore have won deals worth $133.4 million and $77 million, respectively, for new production facilities for the Sisi Nubi 2B and Peciko 7B projects. Two tripods, WPS2 and WPN3, planned for Sisi Nubi and a four-legged wellhead platform, SWP-J, destined for Peciko will be fabricated at Gunanusa’s yard in Java.

Construction will take around 18 months with delivery projected for mid-2013.

Swiber will handle transportation and installation, which is now expected to take place from the second half of 2013.

Total was aiming to start development drilling from the second quarter of 2013 but this may slip to later in the year due to a delay in final contract awards.

The tripods planned for Sisi Nubi will process 350 million cubic feet per day of gas from up to two dozen wells. The nine-slot SWP-J wellhead platform at Peciko is designed to handle 170 MMcfd.
