Brazil’s Petrobras has leased two LNG carriers from Excelerate Energy of the US.The 138,000-cbm Excelsior and Excalibur (both built 2002) will help the state-owned company transport and store LNG and boost its role in the world LNG market, according to Reuters.Both vessels will allow Petrobras to ship 165.6 million cubic metres of gas to Brazil.Petrobras currently operates two terminals in Brazil at Guanabara Bay near Rio de Janeiro and Pecem in the north. Construction of a third is under way at Todos os Santos, Bahia state.
