• Qatargas has delivered a commissioning cargo to the Zhejiang LNG import terminal in China. The Qatari exporter unloaded the volumes on 19 September at China National Oil Corporation’s regas facility at Ningbo in Zhejiang province. The cargo was delivered on Qatargas’ 266,000-cbm Zarga Q-Max LNG carrier (built 2010). Zhejiang LNG will have a first-phase receiving capacity of 3 million tonnes per annum. Qatargas and CNOOC have an existing sales and purchase agreement, signed in 2008, for the supply of 2 million tonnes per annum. • Contractors building Poland’s maiden LNG import terminal have completed welding and assembling the reinforcement on both storage tanks.The domes are planned to be covered with a concrete layer before year-end. Work on pipe-racks and compressor buildings is also under way. Polish Treasury minister Mikolaj Budzanowski this week visited the site in Swinoujscie to assess progress. Developer Polskie LNG aims to have the terminal online on 30 June 2014.
