A company ordered to pay a refund to Boa Offshore over a newbuilding cancellation is fighting the award in court.
Boa said Fevamotinico has served a writ against subsidiary Boa IMR in the Sor-Trondelag district court to set aside an arbitration decision against it last October.
"The claim will be contested by Boa IMR," Boa said.
The arbitration decision awarded Boa $13m relating to a shipbuilding contract torn up in September 2015 at Noryards Fosen.
No payments have been received from Fevamotinico so far and Boa launched its own legal action to obtain the cash in October.
At the time of the cancellation, Boa said that it had already paid for a substantial part of the project and limited equity was required until the delivery date in 2017.
A month after Boa tried to ditch the contract, Noryards Fosen filed for bankruptcy but it later ensured continuing operations thanks to a $64m refurbishment deal for ferry owner Hurtigruten.
