BW Offshore has secured a one-year extension for one of its floating production, storage and offloading vessels.
The 257,865-dwt FPSO Polvo (built 1980, converted 2007) will keep working for PetroRio until the third quarter of 2020.
The ship's charter was set to expire in the third quarter of this year.
The deal between the Oslo-listed company and the Brazilian oil and gas producer includes an option extending the charter further until the third quarter of 2022.
The FPSO Polvo is one of BW Offshore's 15 vessels and second working in Brazil.
The other, per the company, is the 135,510-dwt BW Cidade de Sao Vicente (built 1975, converted 2009), which is chartered to Petrobras.
