A platform supply vessel owned by Dof has secured a 21-month extension to its existing timecharter, extending a flurry of long-term fixtures for the company.
The 3,933-dwt Skandi Sotra (built 2003) was fixed to an unnamed charterer, which a source named as Chevron Australia.
The energy producer took the PSV on an initial three-month timecharter in November 2017 to serve its Wheatstone LNG project.
This contract looks likely to have been extended, according to the vessel's AIS signals.
The vessel has been active between the Wheatstone project in waters off north-western Australia and the Port of Dampier for the past 12 months, AIS data shows.
It has been employed in Australian waters since late 2017, according to historical data.
"So far in 2019 we have signed long-term contracts for work in Guyana, Saudi Arabia, Netherland, Malaysia, UK, Norway, New Zealand and now Australia," Mons Aase, chief executive of Dof, said in a release.
"Our global reach and unique track record is key to delivering an industry-leading fleet utilisation."
The contract's value was not disclosed.
