Two platform supply vessels (PSVs) owned by DOF have won one-year timecharter employment via the Southern North Sea (SNS) Pool.
"The recovery has started, things are moving in the right direction," Mons Aase, chief executive of Dof, told TradeWinds by phone today.
The 3,300-dwt Skandi Captain (built 2004) has secured a one-year extension to its current 12-month contract with Peterson Energy Logistics in Den Helder, Netherlands.
It commenced the initial contract in February 2018.
The 2,600-dwt Skandi Texel (built 2006) has been in lay up in Austevoll, Norway since October 2016 and will begin its new 12-month contract in the second quarter this year.
The value of the two timecharter contracts was not disclosed.
Five other PSVs in the North Sea region have come out of layup over the past four months, according to data from offshore shipbroker Westshore.
In the spot market, Equinor Energy has reportedly fixed Dof's 300t-bhp AHTS vessel Skandi Iceman (built 2013) for 14 days at a daily rate of NOK 75,000 ($8,917), according to Westshore.
The vessel will undertake rig-moving operations for the offshore platform Deepsea Bergen off the west coast of Norway.
