DOF Group has been awarded multiple contracts by Petrobras after a tender process.

The contracts will generate revenue exceeding $192m, the Oslo-listed shipowner said in a statement.

“Building backlog into 2028 at today’s strong market rates is positive and we look forward to continue delivering Petrobras quality services,” said Mons Aase, chief executive of DOF.

Petrobras awarded new long-term charter and service contracts to Norskan Offshore and DOF Subsea Servicos Brasil.

The 4,700-dwt Skandi Amazonas (built 2011), which was on the spot market, will be chartered for three years with a two-year mutually agreed option.

The Skandi Amazonas will operate as an anchor-handling tug supply vessel with a 270-tonne bollard pull.

The vessel is in the process of being adapted to the Petrobras contract. It is expected to be delivered by mid-May to mid-June.

The 2,660-dwt Skandi Rio (built 2007), currently operating for Petrobras and equipped with DOF Subsea’s work class remotely operated vehicle, has been contracted for more than four years firm plus a one-year option.

The Skandi Rio will function as an AHTS vessel with a 180-tonne bollard pull and an ROV.

The vessel’s contract is planned to start within the third quarter, following the current contract.

Earlier in April, DOF sold the 4,800-dwt platform supply vessel Skandi Gamma (built 2011) to an undisclosed buyer for an undisclosed price.

“The sale of another PSV is in line with our long-term strategy to focus on the integrated subsea services and the short to medium-term focus on optimising the combination of earnings and vessel values from our PSV fleet,” Aase said then.

After the sale, DOF’s fleet will comprise 10 PSVs, 25 subsea vessels and 15 AHTS ships.
