Havila Shipping has seen a long-term contract with Statoil extended for another seven years.
The oil major has inked the new deal for the 14,400-bhp Havila Troll (built 2003), with five extra annual optional periods.
This contract comes in direct continuation of an existing deal, ending in November.
Havila added that other terms agreed are confidential between the two parties.
The Njal Saevik-led company is looking to see through a $586m restructuring package while its fall-back position would be to file for bankruptcy in co-operation with secured lenders and others.
