One of Havila Shipping’s platform supply vessels has found work potentially stretching two years.

The Oslo-listed offshore vessel owner announced on Thursday a charter for the 4,000-dwt Havila Borg (built 2009) that will see the ship employed on two well jobs estimated for 200 days with Dutch outfit Peterson Den Helder.

Financial details for the deal were not disclosed, but the agreement does come with an optional period for eight more wells, each estimated to last 65 days.

Havila Shipping said the charter will commence in two weeks.

According to the company’s first-quarter earnings report, the Havila Borg had been on charter to Peterson on a deal expiring in September.

The company had the PSV listed on its website as its only ship with spot availability.

Its last charter announcement came in June, when it said the 4,000-dwt PSVs Havila Clipper (built 2011), Havila Fano (built 2010) and Havila Heroy (built 2009) had been fixed to Equinor for a year with six consecutive one-month options.

Havila Shipping controls 10 PSVs, four of which are owned outright and one 50% owned, plus three subsea vessels and a single emergency response and rescue vessel.

In late trading on Thursday, the company’s shares ticked down NOK 0.18 ($0.02) to NOK 5.13.

In the first quarter, it posted a $100,000 profit, down from $118m in the same period last year.

Financial adjustments dragged on the bottom line, as revenue slipped to $117m from $152m, with rate increases partially offsetting the fleet shrinking by three vessels.
