Scheduledfor delivery in the second quarter of 2016, the newbuilding will be built basedon the Friede & Goldman JU 2000E design.
Upon delivery, the rig will be chartered out to MaerskOil and Gas for deployment in the UK sector of the North Sea.
The new rig isdesigned to operate in waters of 400ft and drill as deep as 30,000ft. It isequipped to accommodate 150 workers.

Thislatest contract brings Singapore-listed Sembcorp Marine’s total new orderssecured in 2014 to date to SGD 1.9bn ($1.5bn).
Including this new contract, the group’s netorder book stands at SGD 13.2bn with deliveries extending into 2019.
“With the latest contract win Sembcorp Marine’s year-to-dateorders have met 39% of our SGD5bn order win assumption for the year,” said Singaporeresearch house OSK DMG.
“We continue to prefer Sembcorp Marine, whosemargins are likely to improve, over Keppel, which is likely to face continuousheadwinds from its non-rig building businesses,” said analyst Lee Yue Jer.
