Jackson Offshore Operators has extended at least two of its deepwater offshore supply vessels, sending charter coverage to 2020.
The "firm, non-cancellable, long-term contract extensions" include the Lightning and the Squall, both 4,357-dwt vessels built in 2015.
“These extensions demonstrate our clients’ satisfaction with our outstanding service and are a testament to the hard work and dedication of every employee in the [Jackson Offshore Operators] family," said chief executive Lee Jackson.
The deals follow on 2018 extensions for the 4,357-dwt Breeze (built 2014) and 4,357-dwt Thunder (built 2015) and two fast supply vessels and a three-year charter for the newly-acquired 5,069-dwt Blizzard (built 2014).
The earliest a Jackson-owned ship will come off charter is 2020. Of its OSVs, one is under contract until 2021, the other four are under contract until 2023.
