UK shipowner James Fisher has been named as the buyer of an OSV sold by Greece's bankrupt Toisa group.

Brokers said the 103-loa laid-up diving support vessel (DSV) Toisa Paladin has gone for $20.3m.

Court documents filed by Toisa as part of its US Chapter 11 restructuring revealed a deal had been agreed at $20.35m, with completion expected by the end of next month. But no buyer is named.

Fisher did not respond to TradeWinds' request for comment.

The company is better known as a tanker owner, but it does have an anchor-handler and utility ship.

Toisa has already sold 20 tankers and bulkers in a bid to pay off creditors.

A total of four PSVs have also gone, and 12 more OSVs are expected to be sold before the end of February, including the 4,200-dwt PSVs Toisa Crest (built 1999), 4,400-dwt Toisa Independent (built 2003) and 4,700-dwt Toisa Invincible (built 1998).

The sale of Toisa Paladin and the 131-loa support ship Toisa Pegasus (both built 2008) - also stacked - were agreed separately.

Pegasus is costing $38.95m.
