Kristian Siem will return as chairman of Siem Offshore's board as of Wednesday, replacing Eystein Eriksrud, who will step down today.
Siem Offshore confirmed to TradeWinds that Eriksrud will also resign from all his other board positions within the Siem Group, which is separate to the Siem Industries Group.
The reason for Eriksrud's departure has not yet been disclosed.
"There is a mutually [sic] agreement with Eystein Eriksrud that he ends his working relationship in Siem Offshore today and resigns from the board," Siem Offshore said in a filing on Tuesday.
Eriksrud joined the board in May 2010 and has been its chairman since May 2012.
He is deputy chief executive of the Siem Industries Group and is director of several of its subsidiaries.
Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) told TradeWinds that on 31 July Eystein left the shipyard's advisory board, of which he was chairman.
Eriksrud is chairman of Electromagnetic Geoservices. He is also non-executive director of Subsea 7.
