The Norwegian anchor-handler market sold out on Tuesday, leading to the reactivation of a laid-up vessel.

Broker lists showed 14 fixtures completed after a fallow period.

Charterer Well Expertise fixed four vessels operated by Solstad, K Line, Siem and Island for the Transocean Arctic rig move.

And Total and Aker BP also took seven between them at rates of up to NOK 250,000 ($28,900) per day and £23,500 ($30,900), up £5,500 in two days, while Lundin fixed another.

All 14 units in the operational fleet are now fixed in Norway, while there are five free out of 13 in the UK, with ConocoPhillips still looking for tonnage.

Utilisation stands at 94%, with 41 vessels still in layup.

This total no longer includes the 251-bp Skandi Bergen (built 2010), which broker Westshore said has been reactivated after 58 days for the Aker BP job at NOK 200,000 per day.

The platform supply vessel (PSV) sector remained well-balanced for owners, with one ship free in the Norway and three in the UK, and rates as high as £14,000 per day.

Westshore said: "The PSV market has been historically tight this February, and we need to look all the way back to 2014 to find a February with the same average rates."
