Two of Maersk Supply Service’s anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels are going Down Under to work on a new contract for Chevron Australia.
Maersk Mariner and Maersk Master (both 23,856 hp, built 2017), will support the Chevron-operated Gorgon Stage Two drilling programme on Western Australia's north-west shelf, commencing in the second quarter.
The contract’s value and duration were not disclosed.
Both vessels will be operated by local crews and supported from Maersk Supply Service’s Perth shorebase.
Maersk Mariner and Maersk Master have been working in Western Australia since September 2017 and March 2018 respectively, where they will remain until the contract commences.
