Oslo-listed SeaBird Exploration has clinched charter extensions for two seismic survey vessels.

It said a deal for the 1,400-dwt Voyager Explorer (built 2005) has been stretched for 90 days into March.

The vessel is working on an ocean-bottom node survey in the Far East.

There is also an option to extend this for another 30 days.

Meanwhile the 1,400-dwt Osprey Explorer (built 1985) will stay on in the Americas for another 60 days.

Its node survey work is expected to finish in early March.

After this, the vessel will start a previously announced job in the same region, with expected completion in mid-April 2019.
