Subtec has extended its charter of a construction support vessel (CSV) owned by Solstad Offshore by a further two and a half years.
The 142-metre CSV Far Sentinel (built 2015) will be employed in Mexico until the end of 2022.
Subtec has two 12-month extension options attached to the contract.
This is the second time the underwater works company has extended Far Sentinel's contract, having already stretched the deal in late 2017.
The vessel was initially chartered in November 2015 for a firm period of three years, plus three 12-month options.
AIS tracking data shows Far Sentinel has been working in the Bay of Campeche in the Gulf of Mexico over the past year.
The bay is home to Pemex's Cantarell Complex of five offshore oil fields.
