Three of Solstad Offshore’s PX 105 platform supply vessels (PSVs) and an anchor handling tug supply vessel (AHTS) have been fixed on contracts that will commence in the second quarter.
The 4,500-dwt Normand Service (built 2014) or its sister ship has been contracted to GeoSea for a firm period of 180 days, plus an optional seven-month extension period.
The PSV will support wind farm installation operations at the Moray Firth Eastern Development, the Oslo-listed company said in a filing.
Two other 4,500-dwt PSVs, Sea Spear and Sea Supra (both built 2014), have been fixed to an unnamed client for three months firm, plus undisclosed options.
Sources tell TradeWinds the client is likely to be Gazprom.
Latest AIS data confirms that Sea Supra has been working in support of the largest construction vessel in the world, Pioneering Spirit, at the Gazprom-owned Nord Stream 2 Pipeline project in the Baltic Sea.
Separately, Sea Spear has also won a 45-day contract from Saipem in the Mediterranean, starting this month.
The contract comes with options attached, the details of which were not disclosed.
In the AHTS segment, Solstad’s 286t-bhp Far Sagaris (built 2009) has been fixed to Queiroz Galvao Exploracao e Producao (QGEP) in Brazil for 95 days, starting this month.
The contract is in direct continuation of the vessel’s current charter and includes an optional 180-day extension.
Far Sagaris is supporting production activities at the Atlanta Field in Santos Basin, offshore Brazil.
“The latest awards contribute positively to the Solstad fleet contract backlog at rates that reflect a gradually improving market,” the Lars Peder Solstad-led shipowner said.
None of the contract rates were disclosed.
