The Dubai-based company has clinched an $11m charter contractfor a platform supply vessel (PSV) newbuilding in the region.
A global oil major has fixed the 3,255-dwt Topaz Faye for 18months to support its operations, a statement says.
The vessel is one of five sisterships recently delivered from shipyards in China.
Topaz now operates nearly a tenth ofits 95 strong fleet of offshore support vessels in West Africa while the rest aremainly based in the Caspian Sea.
The company, which is controlled by Renaissance Services of Oman,has a contract backlog of $1.2bn.
Rene Kofod-Olsen landed the job of CEO of Topaz in 2012 after 18 years with the AP Moller-Maersk group where he was previously CEO of Svitzer.
