Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) in Aberdeen has been awarded a "major" new contract with BP in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Dutch-owned company will provide three emergency response and rescue vessels (ERRVs) to support the oil major's operations there.
The multi-year, multi-million-dollar deal is a "significant milestone" for VOS, it said.
The three vessels are the 2,230-hp VOS Fabulous (built 2014) and the 3,807-hp VOS Gorgeous and VOS Grace (both built 2015).
The contract follows on from a contract with BP for ERRVs in the North Sea last year.
VOS Aberdeen managing director Craig Harvie said: “We are delighted that BP Trinidad & Tobago selected Vroon Offshore Services as the preferred partner to support its local operations and that BP appreciates the benefits of implementing the North Sea ERRV model in this region.
“The new contract and repositioning of three offshore-support vessels also signals a strategic move into the Caribbean and South American market for Vroon Offshore Services, as we continue to assess further opportunities in the region.”
