UK maritime security reporting body UKMTO has issued a warning after a vessel was approached by two skiffs off West Africa.
The boats came within a cable of the unnamed ship south of Ghana in the Gulf of Guinea.
The incident happened on 24 February.
West Africa has been a hotspot for abductions and hijackings in recent months.
