Azerbaijan's Baku Shipyard has clinched a deal from national owner Caspian Shipping Company (CSC) for new ro-paxes.
The shipbuilder will construct two vessels capable of carrying 56 railway carriages, 50 trucks and 100 passengers, Azer Press said.
The price has been estimated at AZN 132m ($80.6m).
The vessels will be designed by Ukraine's Marine Engineering Bureau.
Economy minister Shahin Mustafayev said construction will take two to three years.
Some of the cost will be met by the state.
CSC has 13 ferries, including two ro-ros.
