Croatia's Brodosplit Shipyard is hopeful of winning new cruiseship orders next year.
Its president Tomislav Debeljak told the Hina news agency that the yard has redirected its activities to the tourism sector, rather than tankers.
"We are currently holding negotiations and I believe that 2018 should be year of clinching new business deals for Brodosplit," he said.
He believes that currently the cruiseship sector is performing best compared to other shipping markets and can continue in the same vein for another 10 years.
Debeljak's DIV group acquired 99.78% of the yard in 2013.
"We are practically at the end of restructuring Brodosplit," he added.
"The only thing is that maximum capacities will be monitored until 2022. However, we have met all our obligations which were to have been resolved at the end of last year."
