US owner Carnival has ordered another new cruiseship for its AIDA Cruises operation in Germany.
The third new ship for AIDA will help meet "accelerating demand for cruise vacations," it said.
The 180,000-gt LNG-powered vessel will be delivered in 2023 from Germany's Meyer Werft in Papenburg. No price has been revealed.
AIDA will take delivery of its first new eco-ship, AIDAnova, from the yard in December.
The second will be christened in the spring of 2021 and delivered in 2022. It was ordered only last month.
The trio form part of Carnival's fleet enhancement strategy with 20 new ships scheduled for delivery between 2018 and 2023.
AIDA president Felix Eichhorn said: "The interest in AIDAnova, the first ship of our new generation, is enormous, even before the commissioning later this year.
"With today's new shipbuilding contract, we will ensure the further growth of the cruise market in the long term and will be able to provide excellent cruises for this steadily growing holiday segment in the future as well.
"Thanks to an even wider variety on board, we are opening up completely new possibilities for attracting new target groups across generations for this unique holiday experience."
Tim Meyer, managing director of Meyer Werft, added: "This is the tenth AIDA Cruises ship we are building in Papenburg, emphasizing a long-term partnership between AIDA Cruises and Meyer Werft."
Meyer Werft and Meyer Turku are building a total of nine LNG cruiseships for Carnival.
