Carnival Corporation is shuffling its executive pack after the resignation of Carnival UK chief David Noyes.

Josh Weinstein, corporate treasurer at Carnival Corp, will move to the UK to replace Noyes, overseeing P&O Cruises and Cunard.

At the same time Holland America Group boss Stein Kruse has been promoted to group CEO of Holland America Group and Carnival UK.

The changes mark another addition of responsibilities for Kruse. The former Holland America Line chief executive took charge of multiple Carnival cruise lines in 2013 with the formation of the Seattle-based Holland America Group.

Carnival Corp chief executive Arnold Donald says Noyes told him some time ago of his plans to step down this summer to spend more time with his family.

In a statement he said Weinstein has been a strong contributor to the company's successful results.

Noyes said: "I will be leaving Carnival UK as a thriving, profitable and market leading business.

"I know that with Josh at the helm, the company will continue to go from strength to strength as the UK cruise sector maintains its exceptional levels of growth."

Noyes will officially leave the company on 18 July.
