DYT Yacht Transport has appointed Laura Tempest as its general manager, following the retirement of longtime general manager for sales Gina Last.
Tempest has been with the Spliethoff-owned company for 11 years, most recently as area sales manager after serving as a booking agent.
"My focus is to build on the foundation laid by my predecessors and create new routes and destinations while moving DYT into the future," she said.
She reports to managing director Richard Klabbers.
"I have great trust in her and her appointment will not go unnoticed under our clientele,” he said.
DYT owns two semi-submersible yacht transport vessels, the 12,500-dwt Yacht Express (built 2006) and the 14,100-dwt Super Servant 4 (built 1982).
The company employs 12 workers and has satellite offices in Monaco, Genoa and Spain's Palma de Mellorca.
