Global Ports Holding (GPH) will oversee Zadar Gazenica Cruise Port for the next two decades.
The Turkish cruise port operator has signed a 20-year concession agreement and the Port Authority of Zadar for operating rights to the port in Zadar, Croatia.
The port awarded the contract to GPH, which runs 17 ports in nine countries, in March before writing up the final agreement.
Under the agreement terms, London-listed GPH will manage all port operations starting in Octboer, including cruiseship passenger port and terminal services, an international ferry terminal, ro-ro services, vehicles and passenger services.
"We are delighted to have signed the concession agreement for Zadar Gazenica cruise port and very much look forward to working with our local partners to position Zadar as an important cruise port in the Adriatic," GPH chief executive Emre Sayin said.
The port, which has a 13-metre draft and 1170-metre-long pier length, features a 2,400-square-metre commercial area with leasable retail and office space.
Last year, Zadar welcomed 137,000 cruise passengers, with almost 150,000 expected for 2018.
