Estonian ro-pax group Tallink has posted a reduced loss for the first quarter as depreciation costs fell.
The net deficit was EUR 19.6m ($23.1m), compared to EUR 20.3m in the same period of 2017.
It carried 1.9m passengers, down 0.5% year-on-year, and revenue decreased by 3.9% to EUR 184.2m.
But the amortisation and depreciation expense decreased by EUR 1.4m to EUR 19.4m, due to the sale of two Superfast ferries.
EBITDA for the first quarter was EUR 4.2m, versus EUR 5.3m in 2017.
The period is the company's low season.
A cruise ferry was out of action for 68 days for maintenance and repair.
