Dennis Uy's Chelsea Logistics Corp (CLC) has inked an order for up to four ro-paxes in Japan.

The expanding Philippines shipping group has picked Kegoya Dock for one firm vessel and three options, it said in a filing.

Delivery dates are in 2019 and 2020. No price was given for the deal.

CLC carried out a $116m IPO in Manila last year, before snapping up the 15-ship fleet of Starlite Ferries.

Before this deal, the CLC group, through Chelsea Shipping, Trans Asia Shipping and 2Go, had a fleet of 57 tankers and ro-paxes.

Clarksons lists Kegoya as having delivered the last vessel in its orderbook last year. Starlite has previously contracted ferries there.
