A seafarer has been killed in an attack on a Vietnamese bulker off Borneo.
The 4,700-dwt Giang Hai (built 2010) was boarded by Philippines gunmen on 19 February, Vietnamese media said.
It was north of Pearl Bank in Tawi-Tawi and heading to Iloilo at the time.
Seven other crew were abducted.
The Philippine Coast guard, police and marines found the vessel after it drifted near Baguan Island.
Seventeen Vietnamese crew were found alive, but one man was dead.
International Shipping of Haiphong City operates the vessel.
