A terminal at Argentina's San Lorenzo Port is still out of commission more than a week after a handy bulk carrier ran into it.

The 35,400-dwt Asia Pearl V made contact with TFA Pier, causing damage to the pier and adjoining facilities, according to Buenos Aires-based Agencia Maritime Nabsa.

"The terminal is presently inoperative, being terminal operators evaluating damages and the time needed to complete repairs," the organisation said.

Nasba did not disclose the extent of damages to the terminal.

Hong Kong-based shipowner Asia Maritime Pacific, led by Mark Young, did not immediately return emails seeking comment.

Last week, the 75,500-dwt Gleamstar (built 2011) was refloated after running aground the previous day near Parana River's Ramallo Port, Nabsa said. Owner is Gleamray Maritime.
