A bulker and containership have been damaged above the waterline in a smash off Denmark.
CMB group company Delphis told TradeWinds its 1,922-teu boxship Delphis Gdansk (built 2017) was in collision while en route from Rotterdam to St Petersburg at 0723 hours on Tuesday.
"The visibility was restricted but weather was good," it added. "There are no injuries. There is no pollution."
"Incident and extent of damage are under investigation."
TV2 cited Denmark's armed forces as saying the incident took place north of Romso.
Vessel tracking sources named the other ship as Briese Schiffahrts' 38,000-dwt BBC Neptune (built 2010).
Briese confirmed the incident to TradeWinds.
It said: "BBC Neptune is safe afloat and there is no danger to the environment.
"A minor fire caused by the incident was extinguished by our crew. Our focus is to bring the vessel to the next suitable shipyard for repairs.
"We are in close cooperation with local authorities and will carry out a full investigation together with responsible parties."
The vessels are in no danger, but will have to be moved from traffic lanes.
Seven containers were reported overboard.
AIS data shows both ships at anchor in the same position off Kalundborg.
