A Suez Canal authority car has plunged into a hole in a road caused by the grounding of a containership.
The Masrawy website said the incident happened on Wednesday.
An unnamed vessel was in a convoy heading north when it crossed the canal and hit the side.
A crane was used to pull the car out of the damaged tarmac.
No injuries were reported.
