The Sri Lankan navy has taken 11 seafarers from a listing cargoship off Colombo.
The Adaderana website said the 2,400-dwt Mutha Pioneer (built 1984) became distressed 11.6 nautical miles from shore.
The men were picked up by a fast attack craft, the navy said.
The vessel had begun listing to port.
The crew consisted of 10 Sri Lankans and an Indonesian.
It is operated by Mohan Mutha Translogistics of India.
