An injured Indian seafarer has been airlifted from a Scorpio Tankers vessel after a fight broke out on board.
The incident took place on the 110,000-dwt STI Guard (built 2016) on Monday off the island of Reunion, Franceinfo reported.
The injured man suffered two stab wounds to his chest, the report said.
Authorities were alerted on Monday morning and the vessel diverted to Reunion.
The seafarer was taken to hospital by helicopter after receiving first aid onboard.
The tanker was 37km from the island at this time.
The Clicanoo website reported that the other crew member involved in the incident had been isolated.
AIS data showed that the ship stopped off Reunion on Tuesday.
It is on a voyage from Russia to Singapore.
Scorpio Tankers declined to comment.
