A Croatian-owned bulker has run aground off the coast of Argentina.

The 53,529-dwt AP Sveti Vlaho (built 2009) is currently stuck in the Putna Indio channel after its main engine failed, according to law firm Vega & Co.

The ship is not blocking the main channel, the firm said, but the local coastguard is restricting ship movements.

The bulker is reportedly loaded with grain and, according to VesselsValue, headed for Ravenna.

It is owned by Dubrovnik-based APS Shipping and managed by Atlantska Plovidba.

It is insured by North P&I Club and classified by Bureau Veritas.
