The fire-ravaged containership Maersk Honam has reached its port of refuge in the UAE.
Maersk Line said the 15,262-teu vessel (built 2017), which suffered a fatal blaze off India on 6 March, will finally reach its anchorage outside Jebel Ali on Tuesday.
The fire "remains under control," it added.
At anchorage, remaining hot spots in affected areas will be completely extinguished and further work to stabilise the vessel and bring it alongside will be carried out.
This is expected to take between four and five weeks.
The ship will then be berthed for unloading to start.
Remains being identified
Five crew died in the accident.
"The remains of three of the four missing seafarers who were found onboard the vessel remain unidentified," Maersk Line said.
The bodies have been taken to Mumbai, India, where local authorities are working on identification.
"Frequent contact with the relatives of the lost crew members is maintained, with an offer of continued support in this challenging time for them," the company added.
A further assessment of the impact to the vessel and cargo will take place alongside.
The vessel was carrying 7,860 containers.
