A laden Okeanis Eco Tankers suezmax has grounded while under pilot in the Suez Canal.
Newly-listed Okeanis said in a statement the 159,000-dwt Kimolos (built 2018) touched bottom while transiting the waterway.
While the ship has suffered some damage to the hull, there are no reports of any pollution or injuries following the incident.
Okeanis said the ship had continued to transit the canal under its own power and was heading to a safe anchorage for further inspection.
The tanker is classed by Lloyd's Register and has P&I cover with Gard of Norway.
It is on charter to Trafigura at $20,000 per day until May 2019, with a one-year extension option at $23,000 per day.
Okeanis listed earlier this month with a fleet of six tankers on the water and nine newbuildings on order.
