Canadian investigators have sent a team to Quebec to investigate the death of a seafarer on a C Transport Maritime-managed bulker.
The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) officials were heading to Port-Daniel-Gascons after a fatal accident was reported on the 63,000-dwt Sage Amazon (built 2012), TSB said.
"The TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence," it added, without providing further details.
Canadian Press reported that it is thought a crewman died in a fall on Saturday.
The victim’s name and nationality have not been released.
The ship was carrying a cargo of concrete.
CTM is the commercial manager and is not responsible for crewing.
