A research ship has escaped undamaged from a huge blaze that broke out in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The state-owned 450-dwt Baruna Jaya I (built 1989) was at Muara Baru Port on Saturday when a wooden fishing boat caught fire, Investor Daily said.
Port authorities said flames spread to other ships, destroying 34 of them, but the research vessel narrowly avoided the blaze.
There were no casualties.
