A second worker has died from his injuries after an accident at Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction (HHIC) in the Philippines.
A first man, Ferdinand Leuterio, was killed after a scaffolding collapsed on 12 May, while three others were injured.
One of these, 39-year-old Valian Dela Cruz, sustained head injuries and died on Sunday, the Rappler website reported.
Johnny Alegre, 39, and Gerry Bayuta, 34, were reportedly still in the intensive care unit of the hospital.
Both the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) issued suspension orders to sub-contractor Binictican I-Tech.
Song Suk Bae, president of Binictican I-Tech, expressed regret over the fatal incident and said the company has adopted corrective measures to prevent a recurrence.
Safety inspectors reported that the “concentrated weight of the workers and raw materials and equipment” might have caused the scaffold to tilt before it crashed.
