Six people have been injured after a pilot boat suffered an explosion next to a VLGC in Malaysia.
The Bernama news agency reported that CNPC company Kunlun Shipping's 78,462-cbm LPG vessel Gas Infinity (built 1997) was five miles of Pulai Sialu when the accident occurred on 13 December.
Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) Batu Pahat zone director Mohamad Othman said five MMEA personnel were sent to the site.
"They found signs of an explosion on the pilot boat which was tied to the side of...Gas Infinity," he added.
Four crew from the pilot boat and two from Gas Infinity, all aged between 29 and 48, suffered burns and were taken to hospital.
They were said to be in stable condition.
MMEA is investigating the cause.
Emails to CNPC's press department were returned as undeliverable.
