A small supply vessel sank off Singapore this morning.
According to the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the Domica-flagged, 49-gt Ocean Cooper 2 (built 2015) capsized in the westbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme, about three nautical miles from the Pedra Branca lighthouse.
The vessel’s crew of three, all of whom are from Indonesia, were rescued by the launch Jolly Rachel.
The MPA has issued navigational broadcasts asking ships to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the incident. It has launched an investigation into the sinking.
The Ocean Cooper 2 is owned by Ocean Queen Boat Services of Singapore.
