A John T Essberger tanker has been damaged in a collision with a North Sea production platform.
Pictures from the Dutch coastguard show extensive structural damage to the 5,300-dwt Elsa Essberger (built 2013).
Dutch media said the vessel was en route from Antwerp to Malmo in Sweden on 31 December when it came into contact with the unmanned and unused platform, which was also damaged.
No injuries were reported on the vessel, which was moored in Rotterdam as of Tuesday.
Essberger said in a statement that the vessel made it to Rotterdam under its own power for a "full assessment of damage to the ship’s bow and forefront."
"No pollution occurred," it added. "Company experts and representatives from class and P&I will board the vessel in Rotterdam."
The incident occurred in the evening, 25km west of Julianadorp.
