Two officers have died on a Greek LPG carrier off Sri Lanka.

The men were found on the 9,102-cbm Gas Aegean (built 2012) on or before 8 July.

Operator Benelux Overseas of Athens confirmed the deaths to TradeWinds.

A spokesperson said the situation was ongoing and there was no more information on the incident.

Maritime Bulletin reported that the vessel put in at Trincomalee on Thursday.

The ship had left Lavera in France on 22 France.

The deceased were reported as being a 34-year old Ukrainian and a 39-year old Russian.
