An Uman Shipping cargoship has taken on water after touching bottom off Sweden.

The 3,900-dwt Listervik (built 1996) was never at a standstill and has proceeded to Oxelosund to await an inspection by divers, Uman managing director Anders Mattsson told TradeWinds on Friday.

Sweden's maritime administration had said earlier on Friday that the vessel had gone aground in the early hours.

It took in water in a ballast tank and developed a five-degree list.

All 10 crew were unharmed.

The vessel was carrying wheat.

A coast guard vessel and pilot boat accompanied it into port.
