Icelandic authorities have rescued 14 seafarers and a pilot from a grounded cement carrier.

The 4,100-dwt Fjordvik (built 1976) got stuck in the harbour at Helguvik on 3 November.

Two helicopters were sent to take the men off the vessel, which is operated by SMT Cement of Poland.

The last AIS update shows it aground on 4 November.
