A Costamare-owned containership broke its moorings in a storm in Brazil.
Footage from the incident involving the 9,403-teu MSC Ajaccio (built 2014) at Paranagua shows the violence of a snapped line connected to such a big vessel - with two sounds like gunshots clearly audible.
The Correio do Littoral reported that wind speeds registered up to 80km per hour at the time on 4 November.
The ship was later brought under control by tugs.
It then headed for Montevideo in Uruguay.
